Are you an experienced project coordinator seeking a new and exciting opportunity? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Project Coordinator to join us on a part time, fixed term basis. As a Project Coordinator you will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of KITC projects, working with student consultants to ensure that they can deliver their projects on-time, on-budget and on-scope.
Your role will involve training student consultants across both our Canterbury and Medway Campus to use a Project Management Framework to enable them to manage their projects consistently, and will require the regular tracking and forecasting of the resources that projects need, in short you will ensure that the KITC can plan to allocate these resources appropriately.
As a KITC Project Coordinator you will:
• Forecast the resource requirements of the KITC’s projects to support the KITC Business Manager in allocating resources to projects
• Monitor the performance of the KITC’s Project Management Framework making recommendations for its improvement.
• Assist student consultants to access the professional and administrative services of the University so that they can operate effectively.
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of KITC Advisory Board meetings, helping these meetings to run effectively
To succeed in this role you will have:
• A First degree or equivalent professional experience and a Project Management qualification such as PRINCE2 Foundation or willingness to study for this qualification
• Experience of working within a project management framework and/or experience of supporting and training students.
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office packages. The ability to learn and use cloud based technology such as Google Drive and the Google Docs.
• A professional manner. The ability to act confidently and courteously with people at all levels within and without the University
