Standex Electronics UK (Meder) is a subsidiary of the Standex International Corporation, specialising in the manufacture of electronic components. Due to continual growth we are currently looking to recruit Technician/Machine Setters working in our operation based in Tonbridge Kent.

The successful candidate/s must have experience of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment; have an attention to detail preferably coming from an apprentice trained engineering background, or similar background.

As a Technician/Machine Setter duties will include but not limited to; being responsible for all aspects of process control, involving fine mechanical setting/glass to metal sealing/use of microscopes & micro welding, ensuring that the required quality standards are maintained. You must be flexible and able to work within a team environment. Experience of working with 5S and Lean manufacturing principles although not essential would be an advantage.

Due to the complexity and variety of disciplines involved in our process there will be a period of training for the successful applicant.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience, Standex offer a contributory pension scheme, and performance related bonus and 23 days holiday.

The position is for rotating shifts working (6.00am – 2.00pm / 2.00pm – 10.00pm) There is also an opportunity for night shift 10:00pm – 6:00am
