MKE Engineering Group is the South East’s largest independent Electrical/Mechanical engineering company with 3 sites across Kent and Essex. The company provides new equipment, workshop services, site services and parts for HV/MV/LV motors & generators, pumps, gearboxes, rotating machinery and inverter controls to industry.

Due to recent expansion and acquisition of a long-term contract with a major utility company, the company is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join our Water Division. Our water division supplies electrical and mechanical installation, commissioning, refurbishment, fault finding, repair, and maintenance services both reactive and planned to the water utility industry.

The successful applicant will be based from our Sittingbourne and reporting to the Contracts Manager. Responsible for delivering Mechanical and Electrical installation, commissioning, service and maintenance works on various municipal Southern Water assets.

Primary Duties and responsibilities will include:

• Overall management of the M&E component of multiple concurrent projects – based both in the office and on the relevant sites.
• Management, in conjunction with Site Managers of all project activities on site – ensuring work is carried out safely, in a timely fashion and within budget.
• Preparation and monitoring of project plans, budgets and resource allocations for each project.
• Working to ensure, in conjunction with Contracts Managers, that projects are completed in a profitable fashion.
• Applying quality control across all projects undertaken.

To be considered you will ideally have the following qualifications, experience and accreditations.

• Engineering background or qualifications with a strong knowledge of mechanical and Electrical discipline.
• Knowledge and experience of operating Microsoft Projects
• Good working Knowledge of Safety, Health Environment and Quality Procedures
• Multi-disciplinary project delivery experience
• Planning, budgetary management and commercial awareness.
• A refined and effective management style.
