This is a 9 month Fixed Term Contract, based in Aylesford, Kent working 37 hours per week

Main Purpose of Job:

To effectively lead and oversee all production activity of the TBNT operation. This role includes responsibility for all production, labour planning and management, health and safety and quality compliance. In summary:-
•Oversee TBNT production and associated planning and delivery to agreed targets
•Manage effective and efficient use of materials
•Manage cost effective and efficient labour planning
•Manage effective quality and compliance throughout the production chain
•Manage compliance and monitoring of Health and Safety requirements across production area of responsibility
•Lead, motivate and assist in developing workforce to meet agreed target

Overview of the Role & Team:

This position is key in the manufacturing team, with the main function being to produce products to the correct standard including the planning and assembly. The role has full responsibility for production, liaising with suppliers and keeping the sales team updated regularly.

Your Key Responsibilities:

People:
•Work directly with the operational delivery team in successfully achieving points 1-6 above
•Assist in implementing modern and effective performance culture designed to meet key performance targets

Communications & Reporting:
•Provide an active communication link between management and delivery teams within the TBNT team
•Ensure that relevant, timely and appropriate management information is provided according to requirement

Other Responsibilities:
•Actively support the Operations Manager in achieving BBMC budget performance targets
•Take a lead role during the monthly stock take
•Ensure that stock levels are kept to an agreed level
•Ensure that the stock is kept in an orderly fashion
•To monitor and control the use of overtime and bank staff
•Dispose of waste effectively
•Act as an ambassador for SE and RBLI both internally and externally

Essential Skills and Experience Required:

•Experience of leading within a production environment, preferably within a fulfilment environment
•Proven track record of leading successful production output to agreed targets
•Demonstrable success in managing compliance and quality within a production environment
•The ability to prioritise and manage workload
•A strong, confident leader and communicator with front line and management staff
•Experienced and comfortable working in a fast paced, customer focused environment
•High attention to detail
•Self motivated with extremely good team ethic
