Permanent, full time contract, roles will be office based in Kent (Chatham/Dartford) with flexibility to travel across South East

Main purpose of job:
As part of the team delivering the DWP/ESF funded programme, to provide employability support to individuals who may have a range of barriers to employment, assisting them to overcome these through personalised support which promotes the benefits of working, equipping them with the tools to secure and sustain work.

You will be required to actively engage eligible customers onto the programme, promote the benefits of working, to identify & generate suitable job roles and to job match with participants accordingly; therefore achieving a high conversion of participants progressing into paid sustainable work.

Your Key Responsibilities:
Performance:
• To engage eligible individuals onto the programme;
• To assess individuals to identify work-related barriers;
• Produce a personalised action plan of activity to support individuals to progress into work;
• Deliver one to one support and customer facing group workshops which will enable individuals to progress into sustainable work and achieve productivity targets;
• To work with specialists to overcome more complex barriers such as emotional and/or physical health need;
• To maintain focus on for ensuring sustainable outcomes for the participants;
• Deliver a standard of customer service that is ‘second to none’ – evidenced through quality assurance frameworks which include local observations, customer and stakeholder survey feedback.

Delivery & Training:
• To demonstrate effective training and coaching principles that inspire and promote positive behaviour change in participants;
• To establish local partnerships with other support organisations and stakeholders to ensure customers can be referred for appropriate specialist support as required;
• To liaise with other specialists where customers present with complex combinations of difficulties causing significant barriers to returning to work;
• To liaise effectively with local employers to secure work experience, work familiarisation and job opportunities for customers;
• To work with the wider team to ensure the best possible customer experience whether this be through delivery of training or other elements including administration.

Quality & Control:
• Ensure that all activity meets, or exceeds, minimum contract and performance standards;
• Become fully conversant with all relevant provider guidance;
• Ensure customer records are fully, accurately and consistently maintained and activities are recorded in an appropriate and timely manner;
• Protect the security of customer and other confidential data, reporting immediately any suspected breaches, losses or risk to line manager;
• Activity participate in case conferencing sessions and training webinars in order to develop specialist knowledge, share good practice and deliver continuous improvement;
• Maintain the boundaries of service delivery; ensuring advice and guidance is only presented on permissible knowledge areas and remains within areas of competence

Communications and Relationships:
• Develop good relationships with local communities to positively promote the brand and work of RBLI Employment Solutions;
• Communicate in a concise and accurate manner in both written and verbal communications both internally and externally;
• Ensure regular communication with line manager achieves a ‘no surprise’ culture;
• Maintain a wide ranging knowledge of the sector, of the Government policy agenda and competitor activity.
• To evaluate own performance to ensure objectives and outcomes are achieved;
• To participate in performance reviews as an appraisee.

• Problem solving and decisive;
• Customer/participant focussed.

Skills & Experience Required:
Essential:
• Recent experience of delivering coaching based support in a range of formats to a wide variety of individuals;
• Proven ability to work in a target driven environment;
• Must be willing to travel across Kent if required and cover colleagues from other offices where necessary;
• Experience of successful delivery of Welfare to Work employment programmes or recruitment track record;
• Good IT skills;
• Strong prioritisation, workload and time management skills.

Desirable:
• Level 3 Award in Employability Services Sector or equivalent;
• Member of IEP
• Understanding and experience of how to affect positive behaviour change;
• Good attention to detail;
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written;
• Self-motivated, resilient and tenacious self-starter with strong team ethics.
