We are looking for an ambitious Marketing or English graduate seeking to utilise their writing skills in a creative and fun environment with a passion for travel, destinations and customers.

As the Content Executive you will be working across both Marketing Communications teams supporting in copy writings for customer communications, emails, website, social media, the James Magazine, owner communications and the James Agent Brochure. The role is wide a varied with something new to write about every day.

Although not a pre-requisite if you have experience in writing from an SEO perspective this would be advantageous however over time this is something that training will be provided for.

James Villas has recently been through a large Brand articulation project so being able to follow brand and tone of voice guidelines is necessary however this will only guide the creative flair we are looking for in the ideal candidate.

You will need to be a strong communicator both written and verbal and demonstrate effective liaison with all stakeholders at James with the ability to take ownership of tasks and be able to work to deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supporting the Marketing Communication teams in the planning, development and execution of engaging, audience relevant content.
• Ownership for the planning, creation and execution of content for website platforms, e-newsletters, social media platforms and printed collateral.
• Generate, edit, publish and share daily content using original text.
• For each project create editorial calendars and publication schedules
• Collaborate with other departments to curate original content
• Contribute ideas for copy themes and creative ideas across all platforms.
• Help develop content strategy aligned with short-term and long-term marketing targets
• Collaborate with the design teams to plan and develop site content, style and layout
• Edit, proofread and improve content generated from other team members.
• Liaise with content writers to ensure brand consistency
• Optimize content according to SEO
• Upload web content via the content management system taking an active interest in online engagement metrics
• Ensure compliance with law (e.g. ASA, copyright and data protection)
• Stay up-to-date with developments and generate new ideas to draw audience’s attention

Person Specification:
• Understanding of, and interest in, the content marketing landscape
• Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing
• Basic knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics
• Familiarity with social media
• Excellent writing skills in English
• Great attention to detail
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environment
• Creative and self-motivated
• Ability to prioritise workloads and juggle multiple deadlines
• Good organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent planning and communication skills;
• The ability to build strong working relationships internally and externally.
• BSc degree in Journalism, Marketing or relevant field
