Due to the growth and expansion of the business, we are recruiting a Civil Working Foreman to join our busy teams working across Kent and the Southeast area.

Our construction projects are mainly agricultural and include new farm buildings and commercial units.

As a key member of the construction team you will be required to work within a team and undertake a wide variety of construction projects.

Must have experience as a Working Foreman, working with a Construction Groundworks/Civils Sub-Contractor, ideally with experience working on farm builds and civil projects.

You must also have an in date SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS with First Aid being desirable.

Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Plan the resources required in line with the site programme to ensure that targets are met and monitor health & safety always and ensure all operatives are wearing the correct PPE
• Carry out site inductions, check relevant tickets and qualifications
• To understand the Company Health and Safety policy and ensure that it is brought to the attention of all employees.
• Supervising various tradesmen and subcontractors
• Involved in the construction on farm building and with both agricultural and commercial building erection and infrastructure.
• Various groundworks to include setting out levels, excavations and all aspects of concreting works from slab formations to foundations. This will include being responsible for the drainage, connecting existing and installing new pipes, adjusting levels with machines, etc.
• Site working on various farm and commercial buildings may include demolition and building refurbishments.
• Larger projects may include steel erecting, cladding and roofing. Landscaping and paving. Required to work in a team and demonstrate high levels of self-motivation.
• Required to be alert to present dangers on site and adhere to strict Health & Safety Regulations e.g. clothing, equipment, safety regulations on all sites.

Qualifications/Experience:
SMSTS/SSSTS, CSCS certificate & machine operating licences preferred (although training will be given)
Recognised apprenticeship/construction qualifications an advantage.
Experience with existing civil contractors, construction company’s essential.
Willingness to learn and carryout all types of construction tasks on site to fulfil the requirements of the contract.
