We have an immediate requirement for a Supply & Demand Planning Assistant, so we are looking for previous experience gained within a Supply Planning or Demand Planning role (any industry considered) to join the Supply Planning Team.

The position has become available due to the forthcoming introduction of new brands to our clients portfolio and the Supply & Demand Planning Assistant, will provide assistance with a backlog of work within the busy Planning Team.

Initially this will be for 3 months but this could be extended to six, so some flexibility required.

The main focus in terms of skills we are actively seeking in order to meet he needs of this role are a combination of the following:-

- Strong experience with MS Packages (including Excel & Powerpoint)
- Strong analytical skills together with a numerate mind with experience analysing figures and preparing reports
- Previous experience in a Supply Planning or Demand Planning role
- SAP would be an advantage but not considered essential providing you are computer literate and able to pick up new systems with relative ease.

Desirable:
French speaking would be helpful - but not considered essential.

Hours of work:
37 hours per week Monday to Friday (with free parking)

Eurotunnel manages, maintains and operates the Channel Tunnel from Folkestone to Coquelles in France. The service provided is unrivalled in terms of speed, ease, and reliability, and is the most environmentally friendly way to cross the Channel.

The tunnel infrastructure enables our shuttle trains to carry passenger and commercial freight vehicles and also allows the running of 3rd party passenger and freight trains. In a record breaking 2015, Eurotunnel shuttle trains carried over 1.4 million trucks, and 2.6 million passenger vehicles and facilitated the transportation of over 1.4m tonnes of freight and some 10.4m Eurostar passengers through the Channel Tunnel.
Côte d’Opale International Rail Training Centre (CIFFCO) is part of the Eurotunnel Group and provides training courses to personnel and sub-contractors’ personnel, particularly in the railway field (shuttle drivers, crew members, infrastructure and rolling stock maintenance, etc.) and safety fields (risk analysis, safety induction, awareness of electrical hazards or driving fork-lift trucks).

We are seeking a Trainer to deliver vocational and departmental transversal training to ensure the growth and development of skills across Eurotunnel’s UK internal customers. The role will also be responsible for delivering training services to external organisations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong training background, preferably from an operational or technical environment. Experience of Health & Safety and Training Legislation and delivering technical training, such as platforms and forklifts etc., would be preferable.

You will be able to demonstrate your ability to deliver a high quality of training services to a variety of clients. As an excellent communicator you will be capable of motivating and inspiring others. The ability to communicate in French to an intermediate level would be a distinct advantage.

The Supply Chain Planning Manager is a key stakeholder in the Sales & Operations Planning process (S&OP), with responsibility for product lifecycle management and supply planning of bought in items and the overall brands within your portfolio.

In terms of the essentials we are seeking in an individual, we are looking for someone with gravitas, highly driven, a strong communicator, of course with extensive Supply Planning experience, some experience working within FMCG, together with knowledge of SAP and ideally with some multi-national experience to bring to the table.

Some degree of management experience is considered desirable with French fluency beneficial (not considered essential).

Working as part of the successful Supply Chain Planning team, you will have close liaison with Purchasing and New Product Introduction Managers.

In addition, you will work closely with other Supply Chain Planning Managers, Production Planning Managers, Supply Planners and members of the Demand Planning team, Domestic and Export Sales teams, Finance (on monthly reporting for S&OP meetings) together with interaction with international colleagues, in order to exchange information and knowledge on supply chain matters.
