This is an opportunity for a Customer Services Manager who is expert in providing customer service excellence, to join an exciting well established customer focussed organisation in Chatham, Kent on a maternity cover fixed term contract (9months). Providing strong leadership for the Department you’ll take ownership of the day to day operation and create a culture that truly puts our customers at the centre of everything we do. Be a real Leader of people and provide collaborative and visible Leadership at all times.

You’ll also have responsibility for developing a systemic process for customer journey improvement using the voice of our Customer.

What we’re looking for:

• Someone with proven experience in Contact Centre management in a FCA or similary regulated environment, or similar exposure to a regulatory agenda
• Experience in managing Managers in a high performing Customer Services environment
• Having a real passion and focus on putting the customer at the centre of everything we do
• Driving continuous improvements for the customer
• A great communicator who can build positive and effective relationships across the business

Working within our Customer Relations team you’ll not only handle customer complaints but also provide feedback to departments to assist in furthering the skills and knowledge of our Call Centre Agents, respond to enquiries and cases referred from the Financial Services Ombudsman and coach, mentor and quality check the work of other Customer Relations Agents.

A fantastic role for someone who has the ability to remain impartial and use their experience and knowledge to ensure the right outcome is reached and communicated in a clear and concise manner.

• You’ll have previous experience of handling complex customer complaints
• Someone with strong knowledge of the Consumer Credit Act
• Experience of using and analysing large volumes of information to make balanced, logical decisions
• Someone to use their exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, when dealing with our customers to ensure clear understanding from both sides
• The confidence and ability to made decisions as well as monitor and manage your own workload.
• Review procedures and processes in order to identify and introduce improvements

• It would be really advantageous if you have, or are studying for, a CIPS qualification
• Someone with experience of manage and inspiring teams

• Your ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and fully engage with suppliers will prove invaluable to your success

You must be computer literate, with the ability to use Microsoft office products. Experience in sage is also preferable but not essential.

The Sales engineer will generate client leads, increase the number of customers, answer client queries and prepare sales documentation. A great portion of your time is spent on communicating and handling customer information. As a Sales engineer you will be expected to perform many of the following tasks:

• Raising quotations
• Checking purchase orders against quotes and making amendments 
• Handling customer requests
• Chasing sales quotes
• Maintaining good customer relations  
• Producing reports  
• Growing the business
• Maintaining client records
