My Client is the leader in their field, and looking to get even stronger and better. Due to the building of a brand new facility, and ongoing requirements across all manufacturing /production areas, they are now looking to recruit a strong, enthusiastic Project Engineer to define, design and manage key engineering projects.

The Role:

Produce capital Applications incorporating fully argued justification against quotations
Work with all relevant stakeholders to prepare and deliver 5 year rolling capital plan.
Select engineering partners based on their ability to provide considered and tested systems
Formulate and apply terms of contract,paying particular attention to performance guarantees and payment schedules.
Establish, publish and continuously update Equipment Requirement Specification
Maintain and update the Company project engineering records
Assist in the promotion of modern 'workplace management techniques (e.g 5s, lean etc)'
Produce a monthly update report
Comply fully with the Company Safety Policy and instructions, the Health & Safety at Work Act and all other legal and safety requirements

Skills / Experience / Qualifications: Project Engineer

Degree qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Excellent experience of the other discipline
NEBOSH
Project management - essential
Manufacturing /Production experience - essential - ideally heavy plant
BS7671:2001 (17th edition electrical regulations) familiar.
Minimum 5 years (since qualification) in an appropriate engineering role, in similar industrial environments.
Experienced in management of large scale projects (> £1 million)
Process / plant design and specification.
Familiar with industrial scale steam raising plant and systems.
Lean implementation, lean tools and problem solving techniques.
Knowledge of software such as Project, Excel, Eplan, AutoCAD and Solidworks.
Strong motivation and able to work unsupervised but also a key member of the factory team.
Clear and effective communications.
Creative problem solving and fault finding.
Must be willing to travel as required.
