Demelza Hospice Care for Children is a charity providing hospice services for children and young people with life-limiting conditions and support for their families across Kent, East Sussex and South East London.

We are looking for a part time Assistant Shop Manager to join our Sheerness shops. This role will cover both of our shops in Sheerness. One of the shops is a specialist children’s shop, experience in this area will be an added advantage.

The Assistant Shop Manager will support the Shop Manager in achieving weekly sales targets and deputising in the Shop Managers absence in both sites.

You will have a good level of understanding of high street retail fashion with previous experience in a customer facing environment. Ideally this will include previous work in a charity retail environment. You will have previously worked with sales and profit targets and be able to work under pressure.

You will have the ability to adapt to a changing workload, using your own initiative and effectively manage your time. The role involves working alongside and assisting in the management and development of a team of dedicated volunteers; you will have the skills to prioritise workload and provide guidance and training.

Flexibility of working days will be required and hours will include weekend working as well as occasional bank holidays
