TOOL ROOM MACHINIST

HV Wooding Ltd are manufacturers of pressed and machined metal parts. We are looking to recruit a Tool Room Machinist for our busy engineering company based in Hythe, Kent. The machinist will be responsible for aiding in the repair and modification of tooling and the production of stacks.

The Machinist’s main duties will be -
To assist in the repair, manufacture and modification of tooling, jigs and fixtures
The tooling must meet the needs of both design and production in its functionality
The use of various machines to include mills, lathes and grinders
The production of stacks for the wire erosion department

Previous experience is essential in this role as is reading engineering drawings and the use of specialist measuring equipment. You will need to be organised with a good problem solving approach. Effective communication skills are essential.

The hours for this position will be Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and 8am to 1pm on Fridays
