This is an exciting and varied role for an Assistant Manager in the Central Banking Unit. This will be a challenging and varied role, where you will be primarily conducting payment verification, along with some staff supervision duties. You will be responsible for the personal development planning, supporting and coordinating cross department projects, resolving queries, handling escalated issues, ensuring accurate reports and statistics are maintained, giving presentations, recognising and managing risk and building and maintaining positive relationships with other departments.

You will be a natural communicator, with the ability to liaise with people at all levels with ease. Dealing with high payment volume/value will come naturally to you. You will enjoy working under pressure and be competent at working to tight deadlines. Accuracy is key to this role and you will have a keen eye for detail. A banking background is desirable but not essential, but you will have experience working with payments and familiarity with payment systems. You will be logical and methodical and have a very calm approach to your work.
