General Foreman

£20 - £23 per hour + long term contract

We are looking for a General Foreman to work on a project in the East Kent area, for a Kent based contractor. This contractor deal with all aspects of civil engineering - highways, bridges, infrastructure, environmental, frameworks and special works. Therefore, we are looking for General Foreman who has a mixed civil engineering background.

You will report into the Project Manager and will be responsible for looking after the plant and labour, plus all trades on site.

You will need to have experience of leading a team and supervising crews of workers to ensure that projects proceed smoothly. Ideally candidates will have worked their way up from a tools background.

You will be responsible for:

* Managing workforce
* Motivating the team to complete projects on schedule
* Ensuring that the site team complies with site rules and regulations while monitoring the quality of their work
* Collaborating with clients, suppliers and other stakeholders to ensure that all aspects of the project proceed as planned
* Maintaining equipment and manage paperwork

Requirements:

* Ideally you will have progressed from a tools background

* Experience working on civil engineering projects with a main contractor , with experience in - highways, bridges and infrastructure

* CSCS Card
* SSSTS
* First Aid
