Simply Education are seeking a fully qualified Key Stage 1 Teacher to cover a Year 1 class at one of our partnered schools in Thanet.

The position is to start as soon as possible, and will run until at least the end of the academic Year. The position is full time, with 1 morning of PPA time given per week. Full planning and marking responsibilities will be required for this long-term post.

The school we are working with are a Catholic Faith school in the town of Margate. The School have strong Catholic and British values which they pride themselves on working closely with their local affiliated Church. The Head Teacher is looking for someone who will continue to instill these values in the children and provide a safe and engaging learning environment.

The Year 1 Teacher will be open, honest and have a passion for teaching primary aged children. A Catholic faith is not essential, however must be respected and upheld whilst in the school. The post is to start as soon as a suitable candidate is found, until at least the end of the Academic Year, with a view to continuing until Christmas. NQT's are also encouraged to apply.

To be a successful supply teacher you will need to:
- Be a newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) or have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE or Bachelor of Education
- Have the ability and experience of teaching in Key Stage 1 & 2
- Have strong classroom management skills
- Be able to deal with challenging behaviour
- Have a creative approach to teaching
- Be able to use your own initiative and work as part of a team
