Residential Activity Leaders required for college course with LEC.

Job Details:
The general purpose of LEC is to supply language courses in English to French students, in order to help them improve their vocabulary and grammar in English, as well as to extend their knowledge of England and its culture.

We are looking for a new Activity Leaders to join our experienced team for all aspects of supervision, accompaniment and leadership of students during activities. There will also be the opportunity to join students on half-day and full-day excursions to places of interest such as Cambridge, Bath, Oxford, London, Bristol, Cardiff, Sherborne, Leeds and York.

This is a residential position, so you must be prepared to engage in all aspects of life in the college, on a rota basis.

Your key responsibilities:
• Leading and accompanying students on excursions, and during cultural, sports, social and evening activities (when necessary, on a rota basis).
• Responding to general emergencies at all times and maintaining proper levels of student discipline, safety and welfare when on duty.
• Supervising students during wake-up, meal times and lights out, along with your fellow team members.

Your personal qualities and credentials:
• You are at least 21 years old and mature enough to deal with students between 10 and 17 years of age.
• You are enthusiastic, energetic, organised, adaptable and able to work as part of a team in a multicultural environment.
• You have the capacity to create, plan and organise sporting/social activities (knowledge of the rules and organisation of sports/games would also be useful).
• You are a native English speaker and eligible to work in the UK.
• Experience working with children/teenagers would be an advantage.
