Simply Education are seeking to appoint a Year 5 Teacher to cover a maternity post from September 2017 through to April 2018. The Head Teacher is looking for someone with fresh ideas, a stimulating approach to learning, and good classroom management skills.

The school we are working with are a large 2 form entry school in the centre of Ashford. The school are above National average for their SATS results, and have a strong emphasis on the Teaching and Learning within their school being of a high standard, allowing the children to excel to their fullest potential.

The Year 5 Teacher will be required to take on full planning and assessment responsibilities, with the help of the phase team. PPA will be given as groups to enable forward thinking lesson planning, and collaboration as a team. This would be a perfect opportunity for an NQT, or freshly qualified Teacher.

You will need to hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE, GTP, Bachelor of Education, Certificate of Education or through the Schools Direct Program. Or hold your NQT status.

To be a successful supply teacher you will need to:
- Be a newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) or have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PGCE or Bachelor of Education
- Have the ability and experience of teaching in Key Stage 1 & 2
- Have strong classroom management skills
- Be able to deal with challenging behaviour
- Have a creative approach to teaching
- Be able to use your own initiative and work as part of a team
