Warehouse Operative

Our client, a large manufacturing company, based in the Paddock Wood area is looking to recruit general Warehouse Operative on a temporary to permanent basis.

This is an opportunity to join a well-established international manufacturing company working at their Kent site.

The duties will include picking, inspecting, cutting and packing goods, loading and unloading Lorries, putting stock away.

The hours of work will be Monday to Friday 9:30am to 6pm.

Principal duties
• Timely and accurate picking, inspecting, cutting and packing of customer orders ensuring that product presentation is to a very high standard.
• General warehouse upkeep duties.

Required competencies/skills
• Previous warehouse and or factory working experience would be an advantage.
• A counter balance forklift licence and/or narrow isle truck licence would be desirable but not essential as in house training will be given.

• Eye for detail and accuracy
• Someone who willingly accepts tasks not normally part of their remit
• Ability to work safely within a team or alone
• Good attendance and time keeping

Physical requirements
The job involves manual work, carrying rolls of wall covering weighing up to 25kg.

Due to the location of the client site applicants must have their own transport.
