An exciting opportunity has arisen with this rapidly expanding industrial and manufacturing group for a proactive, self-motivated Financial Controller to join the Finance department.
Reporting to the Finance Director you will be responsible for the preparation of management accounts, managing ledgers, treasury, pension, tax, compliance, and VAT. The successful Financial Controller will be expected to provide World Class support and advice to the Company and enable the achievement of strategic aims. Your responsibilities will also include:
• Reviewing existing financial procedures and processes, recommending and implementing more efficient and effective solutions.
• Preparing and maintaining all the business’s accounting and financial records adhering to relevant accounting standards.
• Providing financial reports to the directors regularly to enable them to monitor and improve the businesses performance.
• Preparing Year End Pack and working with auditors.
• Preparing information for, and submission of all returns to Companies House, HMRC, etc.
To be considered for the Financial Controller position, you will to be qualified CIMA or ACCA, degree educated, and have experience within a manufacturing/ engineering/ construction environment. Original training with a chartered accountancy practice is of interest. Experience of managing and developing staff is desirable.

A hands-on, team player, who is able to prioritise and manage a changing work load, organising and communicating effectively.
