Trainee Recruitment Consultant

We are a long established local independent recruitment company and we are looking for a new member of staff to join our experienced team based at our Maidstone town centre offices.
While some previous recruitment experience is desirable, it’s not essential and we will consider applicants with customer service, sales or a customer account handling background.
Main Duties:
• Contacting job seekers by telephone, email and social media
• Registering applicants in line with legislation and industry requirements
• Referencing, processing DBS applications and checking eligibility to work status
• Contacting and liaising with existing clients by telephone and email
• Seek out and develop new business with clients through telephone sales, social media and marketing
• Utilising Social Media and Internet Job Boards to advertise vacancies
Person Specification:
• A Background in customer service, sales or customer account handling
• Strong Administrative and IT skills are essential and knowledge of using social media and updating websites would be an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Good level of general education with a minimum of 5 GCSE A-C passes including English and Maths
The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8.30am – 5.30pm however we will consider applicants who may require some flexibility with these hours.
We are offering a salary of £18,000 + commission + other benefits
