Our client based on the outskirts of Maidstone is looking to recruit a Senior Quality Sample Inspector to join their Quality Management team. The team is responsible for ensuring individual product quality through technical sample inspections. The successful applicant will have a background in automotive or engineering or a technical automotive related qualification.

The main purpose of the job and duties performed include:

• Perform visual and physical inspections of sample car parts
• Creation of sample inspection reports
• Evaluate inspection results to determine approval or rejection.
• Technical support and advice to other departments
• The effective day-to-day management of a team of Sample Inspectors. Responsible for their support, training and development, performance reviews and personal development plans.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Experience of working within a quality control environment
• Technical knowledge of aftermarket automotive parts and their function
• Automotive or engineering qualification – HNC, HND
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience in team management
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.
• Confidence to communicate and deal with people at all levels
• IT knowledge including Microsoft, Word and Excel
• Technical Report writing
• Ability to use inspection measurement equipment
