Your new role
In your new Food Technology teaching job you will enjoy working within various secondary schools situated across the West Sussex area and will be offered assignments across Key Stage Three to Key Stage Five. Working as a Food Technology Teacher for Hays will allow you to have access to a number of partnership schools that would be inaccessible by any other means, and you will be given the opportunity to focus on teaching in the Key Stage you specialise in.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a Secondary Food Technology Teacher you will need to have qualified teacher status, or be looking to complete your induction year. You will also need to have recent experience within a classroom setting in the last five years and be up to date with recent curriculum changes. You will need to be a creative and positive teacher who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst demonstrating a professional manor at all times. You will have strong classroom management skills with the ability to adapt to unfamiliar plans and timetables. It is imperative that you have good communication skills as this is crucial when speaking to other members of staff and people in the school.
