Customer Service Advisors / Trainee Customer Service Advisors

£17941 per annum + plus £500 after probation

South East Water supplies drinking water to 2.1 million customers across Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire. Daily, we supply 565 million litres of drinking water along more than 14,000 kilometres of mains to our customers' taps.



We currently have a number of exciting opportunities within our Customer Service team based in Snodland, Kent.



Main responsibilities will include:



* Responding to written and verbal customer contacts regarding Billing, Debt or Water Service queries to meet quality, time and customer satisfaction targets
* Maintaining customer accounts to ensure that clear, accurate and timely bills are produced
* Logging all contacts from customers against the customer's account to ensure comprehensive and accurate records are available
* Attending and contributing to team meetings
* Using information and resources to ensure that skills and knowledge are kept up to date and continuously developed
* Participation of the staff stand-by roster



The successful candidate will:



* Ideally have 4 GCSE passes, grade A to C (or equivalent) including Maths and English. An NVQ Qualification Level 2 or above in Customer Service/Business Administration is also desirable. If the candidate does not hold a NVQ Qualification Level 2 or above but are working towards this level, or have limited experience in Customer Services, they may be considered for a Trainee Customer Service Advisor position.
* Have an enthusiastic customer service focus with a determination to resolve customer issues first time.
* Have a strong customer service background with a minimum of 1 year customer service experience ideally within a contact centre.
* Possess strong typing, excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
* Be able to communicate positively with customers and colleagues of all levels in a busy working environment.

Candidates must be able to attend an assessment centre on 5th May 2017 and interview on the 9th May 2017. The start date for successful applicants is 22nd May 2017. Training will take place for the first 2-3 weeks so no annual leave or time off can be taken during that time.
