Eurotunnel manages, maintains and operates the Channel Tunnel from Folkestone to Coquelles in France. The service provided is unrivalled in terms of speed, ease, and reliability, and is the most environmentally friendly way to cross the Channel.

The tunnel infrastructure enables our shuttle trains to carry passenger and commercial freight vehicles and also allows the running of 3rd party passenger and freight trains. In an all time record breaking 2016, Eurotunnel shuttle trains carried over 1.6 million trucks, and 2.6 million passenger vehicles and facilitated the transportation of just over 1m tonnes of freight and some 10m Eurostar passengers. The value of trade passing between the UK and continental Europe through the Tunnel is in excess of £91bn, equivalent to 25% of all trade in and out of the UK.

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Group Leader to join our Civil Engineering department. Working at our terminal in Folkestone you will manage the UK Civil Maintenance team, organising civil maintenance activiites in the Tunnel and on the UK Terminal to ensure the availability of all essential infrastructure.
This position plays a key role in ensuring maintenance acitivies meet the highest level of safety and compliance with internal procedures and legislation.

You will ideally hold a civil engineering degree or be qualified to HND or equivalent. Health & Safety certification, such as NEBOSH or IOSH is advantageous. This position requires the individual to have a minimum of 5 years previous experience of working in a civil engineering environment and a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.

The Group Leader works day shifts, Monday to Friday, but is required to work occasional unsocial hours to meet the business need. Participation in an on call roster is also required.
