Nikwax, a leading international manufacturer of waterproofing products for clothing, footwear and outdoor equipment, requires a Manufacturing/Maintenance Assistant to join our Manufacturing team on the Kent/East Sussex borders.

The Role
You will maintain a clean and safe workshop, carrying out routine maintenance and assisting in the manufacture of Nikwax products to the consistently high standards expected by the company.

Ensuring that both the equipment and areas comply with safe working practices will be a routine part of this role and you will be expected to report on any unsafe practices.

You will be responsible for keeping computerised records, where applicable, and there will also be the need to undertake some manual loading.


The Person
You will be reliable and methodical, with an eye for detail and a logical approach to problems. You must be a team player but should also be able to work alone at times.

The successful candidate should have experience in a factory environment as well as some mechanical knowledge. Experience of using a forklift truck (and the relevant licence for operating) would be advantageous.

You will have GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent).
