Breakfast Chef

Competitive hourly rates

Thurnham, Maidstone, Kent

The Black Horse Inn

The Black Horse Inn is seeking to recruit a breakfast chef - this would be an ideal position for an experienced chef wanting a slower pace of life without having to work evenings. The hours are 6.30am - 12pm Tuesday - Saturday with Sunday and Mondays off.

The Black Horse Inn is a busy 27 bedroom B&B on the outskirts of Maidstone in the rural countryside hamlet of Thurnham, due to our location own transportation is essential as we are not on public transport routes. Breakfast numbers vary from 20 - 60 persons and we pride ourselves on using fresh local produce from our butcher in the next village so being able to cook fresh food is a must. Some days are busier than others therefore being able to work quickly and under pressure whilst still retaining perfect quality is essential.

This role will also include prep of our A La Carte menu after breakfast service has finished so the successful applicant will need to also be a trained chef with proven experience in using fresh quality ingredients. We offer a company pension scheme as well as 5.5 weeks annual holiday and share of gratuities. We have a great team of 9 enthusiastic chefs that you would be working aside that will also help with training a progression within the company. Successful applicants will be invited to do a paid trial shift on one of the busier breakfast shifts. If you have not heard from us within 7 days of your application unfortunately it has been unsuccessful.
