Engineering Estimator

HV Wooding Ltd has been established in Hythe, Kent for nearly 50 years. Our core skills are in the manufacture of metal pressings, copper busbars, laser cutting and wire erosion, supplying some of Europe’s largest manufacturers with components & assemblies..

We are currently looking to recruit an Estimator to prepare quotations in accordance with our current profit margin policy to ensure that all quotations are realistically priced according to client specifications, this will involve working to tight deadlines to meet customer expectations.

This role will require someone with excellent numerical and organisational skills together with a high level of commercial acumen and would suit someone with experience in tool making /manufacturing wishing to further their career within an established and successful company. You will need to have a good knowledge of IT based working and be proficient in Excel spreadsheets.

A background in presswork, tool making/ tool design, Laser Cutting, would be an advantage to your application. Possessing a technical qualification or mechanical apprenticeship would be beneficial, as would experience of the estimating process for mechanical components.
