RSFL are looking for an Experienced Specialist Primary Care Nurse to join a busy and friendly practice team in Ashford. Lovely working environment in a modern fresh building that has excellent patient facilities. 37 Hours per week to be worked variably between 7am and 8pm Monday to Friday with occasional weekend working, offering a competitive salary.

All About the Role!

Looking for a Practitioner to join a team of GP’s, Nurses and HCA’s to help manage patient care in a busy GP surgery. This candidate could come from a background of Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Paramedic Practitioner. We would encourage trainee Nurse Practitioners to apply as they can offer training and professional development for the right candidate.

You will support the GP’s in providing telephone and face to face patient care, diagnosing and treating patients with minor illnesses, planning for long-term care and chronic disease management.

Ideal candidates will have a range of experience gained working in a primary care, OOH, community or an urgent care setting, have relevant qualifications and registration to support their clinical practice and will share a deep passion for patient care.

Excellent IT, communication and time management skills are a key requirement of the role and the ability to prescribe and knowledge of chronic disease management would be an advantage.

Essentials :
• RGN Registered Nurse with primary care or community experience.
• Educated to degree level.
• Management of Diabetes, Asthma and COPD.
• Working within a team.
• Home Visiting/primary care/community experience.
• Management of patients with complex needs.
• Chronic Disease management.

Desirable:
• Cervical cytology training.
• Independent Prescriber
• Working knowledge of Vision/EMIS Web.
