Electrically biased multi skilled Maintenance Engineer required for a large plant based in Medway.

Salary: £37,500
Shift: 4 on 4 off

General Electrical and Mechanical servicing, repairs, installation and testing, improvement projects and general maintenance tasks on a wide range of production machinery such as, plastic extrusion, printing, plating process, automated warehouse and site facilities.

The scope of the job and its responsibilities include the whole of the plant and all of its interests, activities and responsibilities including work, other operations products, materials, property, equipment and safety all within its site boundaries and the wider limits of its interests, activities and responsibilities.

Duties:
-Propose alterations and improvements to all systems, plant, equipment and tools in the interests of the Company, the department and safety.
-Propose procurement of parts, spares , instruments, tools etc in the interests of the Company, the Engineering Department and all forms of safety.
-To attend breakdowns and take appropriate action to return plant to production in a timely manner whilst adhering to safe working procedures and maintaining a standard of good engineering practice.
-Perfuming planned preventative maintenance.
-Ensuring that all Electrical installations adhere to the safe working procedures, instructions, legal and best practice requirements.
-Attending calls outs as required by roster.
-Following safe systems of work and complying with health and safety regulations.

The ideal candidate will be somebody who has a a work hard attitude with sound functional and technical knowledge. You will be loyal and trustworthy, somebody who will admit if they have made a mistake.
