Proxar Ltd is a well-established IT Support and IT Consulting Company with a Headquarter in Sevenoaks Kent. Currently it’s a highly successful and growing company with a demand for more engineers.

The 1st/2nd line Support Engineer will be responsible for general maintenance of servers, desktops, printers, scanners and other IT equipment. The role is centred on the support, maintenance and break/fix of both hardware and software located on customer’s sites in Kent and London areas. Candidates’ must have an experience in IT from previous positions and a full driving license.

Tasks and responsibilities:
• Adding, Removing and modifying users and groups in Active Directory;
• Troubleshooting and maintenance of desktops, laptops and printers;
• Resolving IT issues using remote software (TeamViewer), over the phone and on site;
• Building, configuring and upgrading desktops and laptops;
• Setting up emails on iPhones, Android and Blackberry handsets
• Keep a log of all technical faults in ticketing system;
• Liaise with external suppliers for the repair of equipment under warranty;
• Carry out routine network maintenance tasks
• Managing email, anti-spam and virus protection;
• Setting up user accounts, permissions and passwords;
• Working closely with other departments/organisations and collaborating with other IT staff;
• Maintaining records of assets and software licences.

Key skills:
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products;
• Knowledge of Operating Systems: Microsoft Windows 7, 8 and 8.1;
• Reasonable understanding of networking concepts and services such as DNS and DHCP;
• Practical knowledge and experience in problem-solving strategies;
• Organisational skills;
• Understanding of SLA's;
• Communication skills;
• Patience;
• A meticulous nature;
• Capable of working well under pressure.

The successful candidate:
• Will have solid experience of providing IT Support and exceptionally strong customer service and communication skills;
• Will have broad computer systems knowledge across all business sizes;
• Will have good networking skills / knowledge of routers and switches;
• Will be eligible for Security Clearance.
