Mechanical/Electrical Maintenance Engineer

We are working on behalf on a global manufacturing company who have an exceptional opportunity for a multi-skilled engineer to join their experienced team. The successful candidate will be involved in the service, maintenance, monitor and control of all electrical and mechanical work within an FMCG environment.

Duties:

To carry out proactive and reactive maintenance tasks in line with the mechanical & engineering (M&E) and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and guest requests.

The engineer will need to be able to work on a variety of key plant equipment on critical areas providing emergency cover and effective reaction times to issues. The site is very high profile, therefore a smart appearance and politeness are key attributes for the job.

Requirements for the ideal candidate (Abilities/Skills/Knowledge):

Extensive experience of working in an automated FMCG environment ideally with processing and/or packaging.
Some ability to read M&E drawings
Intermediate MS Office Skills
Some experience of working at height and using work platforms
Good communication skills at all levels
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Good organisational skills
City & Guilds qualification or NVQ L3 Mechanical and Electrical qualifications

17th Edition would be a distinct advantage.

The hours for this role will be continental shift pattern 4 day on / 4 off / 4 nights on.

The job will include all plant kit and HVAC systems. To include; motors, pumps, hydraulics, AHUs, valves, gauges, pipe work (copper and steel), condensers, AC-R systems, boilers (no gas), water treatment plant, cylinders/tanks, shutters, generators and all associated HVAC plant.
