The Abbeyfield Kent Society is one of Kent’s leading providers of Sheltered and Residential Care to older people with physical frailty and Dementia.

The Abbeyfield Kent Society is recruiting for a part time Housekeeper to create a family friendly, happy and homely atmosphere at our Supported Service in Sevenoaks, Kent.

Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): preparing, cooking and serving meals, ordering/buying food, overseeing domestic staff, simple household accounts, updating ‘Lifeline’, maintaining accurate records, providing (occasional) simple home care, reporting house repairs, overseeing laundry, attending alarms, making referrals to the Supported Housing team, attending training, attending housekeepers’, staff and residents meeting, welcoming active and friendly interest in the house and its ‘family’, encouraging residents to remain involved with the community and to be active in their own interests, upholding agreed policies and standards of care, promoting equality and diversity and eliminating discrimination for all the Society’s service users, staff and volunteers, taking part in individual performance reviews and training.
