Are you an experienced cleaner who has worked as part of a cleaning team across multi-user buildings? If so, we may have a position for you…

We recruit for cleaners on a regular basis. Some of the positions we regularly recruit for are as follows:

- Morning Cleaner
- Evening Cleaner
- Cleaner/Driver
- Cleaner/Litter Picker
- Cleaning Team Leader

Our cleaning roles operate across various times and we require flexibility in order to deliver a great service.

The cleaning and Waste team within Estates are responsible for general cleaning duties in offices, circulation areas, teaching rooms, toilets and bins external to buildings etc. Our team members use both domestic and industrial cleaning machinery and moderate lifting will be necessary.

The Estates Department

The Estates Department provides a number of essential services to the University of Kent and is responsible for managing, maintaining and developing the infrastructure and building fabric of the various campuses.

The Department has responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of the extensive grounds and buildings, the security of students, staff and visitors, transport and travel; a postal service and the telephone exchange as well as the University Design & Print Centre. It is also responsible for the buildings, new developments and construction projects both at Canterbury and at our Medway campus at Chatham Maritime and on the Chatham Historic Dock Yard.
