You and your team

If you're new to discovering opportunities in Fraud, we'll summarise the importance of the Fraud Prevention team.

The team are responsible for investigating suspicious applications and transactions in order to protect our customers and prevent/reduce financial loss to the bank. The team deal with customers, external companies and inter-departmental queries as part of the investigation process.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working to investigative tasks and complex cases finding fair and correct outcome for the customer and the bank.

In your day to day role you will:

• Carry out thorough investigations of potentially fraudulent applications, from referrals or those flagged by the system
• Review accounts that have triggered one of the transactional security system, to identify suspicious activity and take action/preventative measures
• Use advanced investigative telephone training techniques to communicate with potential fraudsters to gain insight of their intentions
• Report fraud to CIFAS
• Support the other teams within Fraud where needed
• Work towards individual and departmental goals

What you’ll bring to the team

We’re looking for someone who wants to step up and expand their knowledge and experience within fraud. As with any role, there are certain experiences or key skills which make you stand out as an applicant:

• Your great customer service skills will give you the ability to handle difficult conversations
• Using your own intiative you’ll identify issues regarding potential improvements, risks or detriment that could impact our customers or the bank
• Confidence in making decisions
• A problem solver who appreciates the need for structure and process but can also think outside the box
• Able to analyse data to identify patterns and trends
Please note the working hours for this role are shifts between 8am & 8pm including 2 Saturdays per month.
