Are you an expert in student admissions strategy, policy and process within the UK higher education landscape? Do you have the skills and experience to lead a dedicated team in optimising student recruitment and providing a best-in-class admissions service at the University of Kent?
This pivotal role will see you taking responsibility for all admissions (home and international) activity across the University, leading strategies, managing resources, implementing changes and ensuring compliance within a changing UK admissions environment. Your authoritative knowledge will be matched by strong interpersonal, motivational and communication skills and an ambition to deliver excellent customer service.
As Head of Admissions you will:
lead on the development and implementation of the University’s admissions strategy, ensuring it is customer-focused and supports targets and objectives
be the University’s recognised expert on admissions policy and practice in higher education
lead and deliver strategies and policies to optimise student recruitment and meet targets
lead, motivate and develop a team of admissions staff including the student immigration compliance team
To succeed in this role you will have:
authoritative knowledge of admissions policy and practice in UK higher education and all related legislation gained from working in a similar role
experience in the education sector, including awareness of international education policies, market trends, government regulations, qualifications and selection processes
experience of developing processes, systems and resources to transform institution-wide services, improve effectiveness and deliver strategic objectives
experience of successfully managing staff, with well-developed leadership skills and a clear passion for developing motivated staff and strong teams
