Enforcement Investigation Officer

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our busy Development Management Enforcement Section. You will be responsible for investigating potential breaches of planning control and deciding on the most appropriate form of action to be taken. The post will offer the chance to learn the basics of planning and planning enforcement in a varied and sometimes challenging environment.

You will need to possess an eye for detail and be able to demonstrate good investigation and negotiation skills. A background or a proven interest in planning would be an advantage but is not essential.

You will also need to be determined, a good communicator, self-motivated with the ability to handle a large caseload, time manage well and be able to demonstrate assertiveness skills whilst working to required deadlines.

This role is customer-facing and the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is an essential element of the role.

This is a 12-month Fixed term, part time position. Hours are negotiable up to a maximum of 30 hours per week.
