Management Accountant required for a progressive and acquisitive business in Sevenoaks. This specialist company have an impressive strategy for growth and are niche providers of their service.
The Management Accountant will be responsible for all accounting and reporting for significantly sized division. This is a highly autonomous role, that will require the Management Accountant to lead on the month end activities within management accounts. Its not just reporting, the role also works closely with the commercial teams.

Detailed duties for the Management Accountant include;

• Ensuring that divisional P&L, balance sheet and capital expenditure amounts are accurately recorded in the month-end accounts on a timely basis
• Ensuring that revenue, payroll and cost accrual/prepayment journals are posted accurately and on time
• Ensuring that any billing issues are resolved appropriately with the commercial team
• Maintaining up to date and accurate fixed asset register
• Preparing accurate and insightful management accounts with appropriate KPIs
• Ensuring that all balance sheet accounts are reconciled in line with agreed timescales
• Preparing budgets and forecasts supporting the Head of Commercial Finance.
• Ad hoc analysis in support of the Head of Commercial Finance, commercial and operational teams
• Ensuring that new financial and operating systems are implemented appropriately to ensure that month-end processes are as automated as possible.
• Maintaining a continual focus on ensuring that information is presented in the most useful way possible and that any issues identified which would enable management to improve business performance are appropriately reported

In order to apply for the Management Accountant role, candidates must be able to demonstrate the following;
• Formally Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA or ACCA)
• Able to work autonomously and to adapt to changing circumstances
• Positive enthusiastic approach with a can-do attitude
• A desire to drive both personal development and improved business processes and performance
• Proven track record of succeeding in a deadline driven environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong excel skills
