Salary: National Minimum Wage
Hours: 40 per week (Tuesday to Saturday)
Start date: As soon as possible (subject to relevant pre-employment checks)
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and passionate foody to join us!
A Kitchen Porter is required to work at RSCS as part of the kitchen team to assist in maintaining outstanding levels of cleanliness, hygiene and safety within all working areas. Duties include washing all crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils and equipment and food service equipment; ensuring that the floors, walls, bins, laundry, ovens and fridges are kept clean and tidy to a very high standard; to be aware of and to adhere to all health and safety, fire, hygiene and COSHH regulations governing the work being undertaken and to ensure the correct chemicals/detergents are used at all times. The role also requires lifting of heavy objects.
Attendance of training at the request of the Senior Chef will be required.
The ideal candidate will have the ability to work under pressure and in hot environments. Attention to detail, high standards of cleanliness, flexibility on working hours, a can-do attitude and effective communication skills are essential. Previous experience and food hygiene certification are desirable but not essential as training will be given.
