We are looking for experienced wood work operatives to work for a manufacturer of wooden fencing based outside of Ashford, due to the location you will need your own transport. The ideal candidate will have experience with wood work in a work environment and must have had previous roles in manual work, ideally working outside.

The role involves preparing and setting up machines and tools for wood manufacturing; lifting wood pieces onto machines by hand and with hoists; operating woodworking machines including saws, milling and sanding machines; ensuring that products meet industry standards and project specifications, making adjustments as necessary.

You will be placing wooden panels into prebuilt bracket frames and then using power tools and hand held tools to fix them together. This work is very repetitive and due to the volume of the machines and the size of the product you will be working with you are quite isolated, this role involves heavy lifting so you must be happy with manual work.

The working environment reflects the temperature outside so you must be prepared to work in all conditions. Previous woodwork experience or machinery usage such as planers, spindle and molders is preferred but not essential as trainning will be provided.
