About us: Porchlight is a charity supporting people who are homeless, vulnerable and isolated. At Porchlight, we are passionate about helping vulnerable people to reach their full potential. We strive for a fairer society where vulnerable people find stability, the most excluded are included, and where homelessness and poverty are things of the past.

The role: You will lead our accommodation services for homeless adults (18+). As leader of the housing management team, you will be responsible for procuring and managing properties for people who have been homeless. You will also be required to liaise with councils and landlords.

This role involves regular record keeping, audit taking, monitoring the service’s performance, and ensuring staff meet the standards required by Porchlight and its commissioners.

This role requires:

Excellent communication and people skills
Experience of working in the housing sector
Knowledge of health & safety regulations and property management
Experience of safeguarding issues faced by vulnerable adults
Experience of acquiring a portfolio of properties
A full driving licence and access to a car (subject to the provisions of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and Equality Act 2010).
