Technical Instructor, Princess Christian’s Farm (Maternity Cover)

Salary: £17,391 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (Maternity Cover)
Locations: Princess Christian’s Farm, Hildenborough

We are looking for a new team member to provide additional technical assistance to the Work based tutors, as Maternity Cover, within our Foundation Studies Team at Hadlow College, based in Hildenborough. As a Technical Instructor you will be demonstrating and providing practical instruction in a range of vocational areas to a groups of students aged 14 years and above. You will also help deliver some classroom-based and practical sessions on the farm. You will also be required to assist in the maintenance and organisation of practical resources. For this role it is essential to have an ability to work with and support learners with learning difficulties and disabilities, a qualification to Level 3/National Diploma standard in a relevant vocational area and appropriate practical experience.

In addition to the minimum requirements detailed above, candidates will need a keen interest in a wide range of vocational related subjects including animals, plants, retail and catering. Candidates must have good IT skills, the ability to work well as part of a team and the willingness to work towards and gain a relevant teaching qualification.

This is a full time role, working 37 hours per week and will include working weekends on a rota basis.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service Check (DBS) and to provide proof of their right to work in the UK.
