in developing countries?

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time Head of Major Giving to join MAF UK. With the needs of isolated people being greater than ever, we want to grow our income in order to meet the increasing demand for our services worldwide.

The successful candidate will lead our strategy to establish, maintain and develop successful long-term relationships with generous philanthropic individuals, trusts and institutional donors.

This role requires an inspiring, ambitious and innovative individual with exceptional relational and communication skills, compassion for the developing world, a proven track record of successfully leading a team to build relationships and the ability to grow income. You will be able to revitalise our strategy, harness and grow the expertise of the existing team and explore fresh and innovative approaches to create new relationships.

Background: MAF (Mission Aviation Fellowship) is a dynamic Christian aviation charity, operating 130 light aircraft in around 25 developing countries. Soaring over deserts, jungles and mountains, we bring help to some of the most isolated communities on earth. In the UK, MAF is a registered charity funded by voluntary donations which help finance the work of MAF worldwide.

Benefits: The salary for this role is £52-58,000 per annum. MAF UK provides a non-contributory pension scheme for staff of 10% salary on joining. Annual leave entitlement is 22 days per year plus 8-statutory paid public holidays per year, plus additional paid leave given by MAF UK for the Christmas and New Year office closure.

Location: Folkestone, Kent though flexibility for work and travel will be required.
