Recruitment Officer

We are seeking two proactive graduates, preferably from the University of Kent, who have demonstrable up to date knowledge of the Kent student experience, to take on the post of Recruitment Officer.
You will join a committed team of recruitment and marketing staff in this varied and interesting role, developing and co-ordinating targeted student recruitment activities in the UK and mainland Europe and delivering presentations to prospective students, their families and their influencers. You could expect to spend approximately half of your time based in the office taking care of the administrative tasks and the other half attending outreach events across the region, nationally and internationally.

As Recruitment Officer you will:
- recruit undergraduate and postgraduate students to the University of Kent from the UK and other member states of the European Union
- provide specialist advice to prospective students and their families on a range of topics relating to applying and studying at University
- work with the Recruitment & Marketing Manager to provide detailed statistical analysis and follow up reports from all recruitment events and visits
- travel widely, attending parents’ evenings, careers conventions and other promotional events in Schools and Colleges in the UK and mainland Europe.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- a degree (2:1 or above) preferably obtained recently from the University of Kent
- report writing skills and the ability to analyse data from a variety of different sources
- demonstrable up to date knowledge of the University of Kent student experience, including an understanding of current issues surrounding undergraduate and postgraduate students, especially funding and recruitment
- a willingness and ability to travel extensively, practically by own means, at regional, national and international level
- excellent presentation and verbal communication skills
The Recruitment and Admissions Office (part of Enrolment Management Services) is responsible for all the processes relating to undergraduate, postgraduate and part-time student admissions to the university. The office receives in the order of 80,000 enquiries a year and a total of 15,000 graduate applications and 30,000 undergraduate applications leading to the admission of approximately 7,000 (5500 undergraduate and 1500 postgraduate) new students.
