Working for our client based in the Ashford area, Monday to Thursday 8am to 5pm and 1pm on Friday.

Suitable candidates must have experience of sourcing and buying electronic components. This position is offered on a 6 month temporary assignment working through React Recruitment Ltd.

Reporting to the Purchasing and Materials Supervisor.

Main purpose of job

• To place orders competitively, on time and on an approved supplier base.
• To progress outstanding orders
• To ensure data entry onto the company stock control software is carried out promptly and accurately
• To convert orders received into co’s buying reports
• To ensure orders are placed competitively, on time and on an approved supplier base.
• To ensure that the Manufacturing data base is maintained
• To support the Non-Production Purchasing function

Main duties

• To record client orders into department
• To run relevant buying action reports
• To check and approve all purchase orders (in accordance with signing limits)
• To evaluate stock discrepancies
• To ensure the Manufacturing data base is updated in an accurate and timely manner with details as supplied
• To place non-stock orders against correctly authorised Purchase Requisitions
• To place stock orders against client received orders
• To issue supplier schedules as required
• Working to company standards as written in the QA Manual and SOPs
• Working to company Health and Safety requirements
