The Rochester Bridge Trust is a charity which has provided crossings of the River Medway since 1399. The Trust is committed to promoting awareness and understanding of civil engineering among young people, families and teachers.
A range of projects is planned or underway with primary and secondary schools, colleges and universities and we are seeking an enthusiastic, inspiring and self-motivated Education Officer to work as part of a small team to take forward our award-winning civil engineering education programme. This post would suit an engineer or teacher seeking a new and interesting challenge. The post is 14 hours per week with the usual working hours being 9.00am to 4.30pm Wednesday and Thursday (subject to negotiation). The postholder will be required to work on other days from time to time to support after-school clubs and occasional evening and weekend events, for which overtime or time off in lieu will be granted. Annual leave is generous but may be taken during school holiday periods only.
