We are currently seeking to recruit an experience creche/nursery assistant for a busy, thriving nursery in the Maidstone area. The candidate should have as a minimum a Level 2 Diploma/NVQ in Childcare (Early Years Educator) or equivalent and a first aid and food hygiene certificate would be an advantage. It is also a requirement that they have a full driving licence and access to a car due to the location of the nursery.The position is subject to 5 years worth of referencing.
Skills and Abilities:
- Supervisory experience
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Engaging
- Time management
- Creativity
- Good organisational skills, observation and planning skills
- Excellent communication
Knowledge:
- Early Years Foundation Stage
- Key theories and developments around child learning
- Health and Safety requirements
- Safeguarding procedures
This is a 20 hour a week, part time post to cover the lunchtime period from 11am to 3pm Monday to Friday.
