NIAB EMR
Based at East Malling in Kent, NIAB EMR is an internationally renowned plant science organisation conducting research on horticultural crops and their interactions with the environment, with particular emphasis on perennial and clonally propagated fruit crops. NIAB EMR became part of The NIAB Group in January 2016. NIAB is the UK’s fastest growing crop science organisation, with rapidly expanding research capabilities in plant genetics, agronomy, farming systems and data science, the largest national field trials capability, and strong research links with industry, Government and academia. FINANCE ADMINISTRATION CLERK (Expected to be 3 to 5 days per week dependant on experience)
An urgent requirement has arisen for a Finance Administration Clerk to join a busy finance team based in East Malling. This is a temporary position which is due to start ASAP and is estimated to last three months.
The objective of the role is to undertake general finance, administrative and clerical services within the department in order to ensure effective, efficient and accurate financial and administrative operations.
Duties include posting bank entries to two company databases, weekly timesheets entry to databases, weekly banking, credit control, purchase ledger reconciliations, maintaining invoices on spreadsheet, opening and distribution of departmental post and emails, bank end reconciliations, filing.
We are looking for somebody who has English and Maths GCSE’s grade C, or equivalent, previous experience in an office environment and who is highly numerate and accurate with figure work, with good computer skills and excellent personal skills. You must have the ability to work independently and as part of team, have good organisational skills and be willing to work flexibly.

The salary will be £15,000 to £20,000 pro rata per annum, dependant on experience and relevant qualifications.
