Learning & Development Assistant - Part time
3 days per week, Weds, Thurs & Friday 9:30am - 5:30pm
£18,000
Our client, a leading law firm in the City of London are looking to recruit for a part time Learning & Development Assistant to start in November.
The position is a job share with the current Learning & Development Assistant, so the working hours are Wednesday - Friday 9:30am - 5:30pm, so please only apply for this position if you are able to commit to these working hours.
You will look after Learning & Development administration for all offices and will report to the Learning & Development Manager
Key responsibilities include:
* Liaising with internal and external speakers to agree dates and arrangements
* Booking rooms and making arrangements for catering, equipment and VCs
* Sending targeted advertising emails and designing flyers for display to promote course bookings
* Co-ordinating bookings using Outlook and an Excel spreadsheet
* Sending reminders for courses and pre-course reading/work where applicable
* Meet with trainer, as required, to ensure arrangements are in order on the day
* Preparing, sending and chasing evaluation questionnaires for all skills and compliance training events
* Liaise with Compliance to schedule relevant courses
* Produce 6-monthly reports on attendance at compliance courses for the Head of Compliance and Risk
* Process all payment requests, checking to ensure relevant approval has been obtained and all information on the form is correct and clear before scanning and sending to accounts for payment
* Update budget spreadsheet with all training-related costs, attaching electronic copies of forms and supporting paperwork
* Monitor the L&D budget spreadsheet and chase outstanding invoices from suppliers
* Reconcile the monthly Finance report with the L&D budget spreadsheet and liaise with
* Finance to correct miss-posted costs
To be considered for this position you must have:
* A solid understanding and acceptance of the need for exceptional administration of the training strategy
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Methodical and precise attention to detail
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
* Confidence with excellent communication skills
* Professional manner and presentation
* Computer literacy - competency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint essential
* A keen interest in all aspects of Learning & Development
* Good knowledge of LMS systems - desirable
* A flexible approach with regard to daily tasks
* Previous law firm or professional services L&D experience would be advantageous
