The Fitness Team require a temporary Health and Fitness Instructor to add to their dynamic team and help maintain consistent service delivery to members and users. As part of the Fitness Team you will contribute fully to Kent Sport operations in providing facilities and services to over 20,000 Students and 3,000 staff members on the Canterbury Campus.

Kent Sport are looking to recruit an experienced fitness professional who can fit seamlessly into the existing team and help deliver professional health and fitness appointments, awesome group exercise sessions and explore more specific exercise prescription such as coaching and mentoring. In a busy and dynamic environment, Kent Sport are looking to recruit someone who can work well individually, as well as in a team.The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and (gym) floor interaction skills whilst providing a consistent and high level of customer service at all times.


The Person

Kent Sport is seeking a dynamic and experienced fitness professional to cover parental leave for 14 weeks during the busiest term at the University of Kent Sports Centre. With over 1,000 visits a day to the Fitness Suite and Studio, the Health and Fitness Instructor will need to be comfortable leading in a busy gym environment and be capable of delivering excellent service through health and fitness consultation and programming.

As well as possessing excellent gym instruction skills, we are also seeking individuals who will be able to contribute to the popular group exercise timetable which will have over 40 classes every week during this term. Class teaching diversity will be an asset, however if you are able to deliver an awesome group exercise experience and wow factor in the studio then this role will be the perfect showcase for your talents.
