The Albatross Group are seeking a Management Accounts Assistant to join their busy Accounts team on a 12 month maternity cover contract.

Package:
Circa £21,000, 25 days Holiday pa, Pension, Childcare Vouchers, Employee Assistant Line, Travel concessions and more.

The Role:
The Management Accounts Assistant is expected to provide accounting support to the Head of Finance to deliver the monthly management accounts for the Group Businesses. In addition to this, overall responsibility for the bank reconciliations, management of all staff and company credit cards and intercompany balances.

Other responsibilities include assistance with monthly overhead reporting, mortgage and loan interest charges, completion of quarterly VAT reconciliations, and assistance with budgeting, forecasting and year-end procedures.

The ability to work to strict deadlines, requiring a high level of organisational and time management skills is a prerequisite. A good knowledge of Excel, including the use of Vlookups and pivot tables is required and sage knowledge is desirable. The flexibility and confidence to work with disparate IT accounting systems is a must.

Hours of work Mon – Fri 9.00 – 17.00 although additional hours will be required, especially at peak times.

• Have a calm, confident and helpful telephone manner.
• Highly numerate with an understanding of systems and processes.
